Wider Key Skills at Raincliffe School

The Wider Key Skills qualification’s of Working with Others, Improving own Learning and Problem Solving aim to recognise candidates’ abilities to apply these skills in ways that are appropriate to different contexts, in order to improve the quality of learning & performance. They are skills that are commonly needed for success in a range of activities in education, training, work and life in general.

The Wider Key Skills will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence. This is a file for collecting and organising evidence that meets the requirements of the key skills. Students will collect evidence from various areas of study, work, leisure and at home. The portfolio will be internally assessed and the assessment will be internally verified.
